Extraordinary Wildlife Holidays in India tailored for you by Experts
India is a Paradise for the nature lover and we offer the most wonderful wildlife safaris in India! From the perma-frost of the high Himalayas to the tropical rain forests of the southern Hills; from the sand dunes of the Thar Desert and the rolling grasslands of Kutch in the west to the vast mangrove swamps of the Ganges Delta, the subcontinent straddles an enormously varied range of climatic and zoogeographic sub-regions, which in turn support an incredibly diverse and abundant assemblage of plant and animal life matched by few other regions on Earth. To give but one example – India is the only country in the world where you could on a single extended holiday go looking for virtually all the Great Cats of the Old World which include Tiger, Lion, Leopard, Snow Leopard & Clouded Leopard.
Wildlife holidays are our specialty! Hashim Tyabji is one of India’s leading naturalists who has written several books on tigers and he carefully assembles each safari around each of our clients. These wildlife holidays extend across all of wild India. We are very particular about the camps and lodges we use, placing great emphasis on the quality of guiding and the eco-tourism ethic. We are founding members of Tour Operators for Tigers (TOFT). If you are a sane non-twitch birder who enjoys wild birds and wild country, do check out and ask about our birding programmes for individual travellers. As a matter of course, we arrange for knowledgeable local guides who are also excellent company. Accommodation ranges from gorgeous, owner managed tented camps with superb guiding to luxurious lodges such as the Taj and Aman properties. We can also arrange for elephant back safaris, searching for tigers on the backs of elephants in Corbett National Park. These normally extend from three to five days. However, the accommodation is more basic, utilising the forest rest camps although there is also a lovely tented camp situated in Corbett National Park that we highly recommend.
