Winter Newsletter 2008
The Himalayas – This is one of the most beautiful regions in India. We talk specifically about the Kumaon region, where there are wonderful village treks and walking trails, where the days are spent walking with a guide, gently getting to know the region and walking through this spectacular scenery, especially when the rhododenrons are in bloom. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and through an interpreter, one can learn all about these farmers. Then one can move on to the luxurious, four bedroomed 360 ‘ Leti where one can either relax or explore a little further. Each morning, wake to snow capped views of Nanda Devi. This can be preceded by a stay in Corbett National park, searching for tigers and ended at either an owner managed, small lodge with stunning views, or at a five star hotel and spa.
Gujarat and Kutch – This region is renowned for its Asiatic lion as well as some of the finest hand woven textiles in India. It also has spectacular birdlife. The food in this region is particularly good, too.
Corbett National Park – This is not only one of the prettiest parks in India, situated at the foothills of the Himalayas but also one of the rewarding!
Bhutan – There is something for everybody in this beautiful country, and that refers to the accommodation too. We can offer from the ultra luxurious boutique hotels of Uma Paro and Aman to the more traditional three star locally run lodges and of course, tented camps for trekking.
