I recently had clients who returned from a luxury holiday in Darjeeling by train and they had the most of amazing time. They spent a few days at Kolkata one of the most “under-rated” and “under-visited” cities in India. As they were travelling with their children, they were looking forward to the toy train journey to Darjeeling and it did offer them a fantastic experience. It was only when the band turned up that I realised this wasn’t going to be an ordinary train journey but I was going to open a new chapter on Indian luxury train travel.
